Lola Arias: Conversation and Panel Talk

Welcome to a panel conversation in celebration of the winner of The International Ibsen Award 2024 – Lola Arias.

Whether you are familiar with Lola Arias's work or are seeing the theatre production The Days Out There or the film production REAS for the first time, this conversation will provide insights into Arias's unique artistic works and vision.

Lola Arias has been a game changer in theatre, in her native Argentina and throughout Europe, the Americas, and Asia.

In this panel talk you will meet Lola Arias herself as well as Luz Algranti, Aljoscha Begrich, Sofia Medici, and Florian Malzacher, all of whom are longtime collaborators with Arias and know her work from the inside. The conversation's moderator is Jean Graham-Jones, one of Arias's English-language translators and the editor of the 2019 play and essay collection Lola Arias: Re-enacting Life.
