Heiner Goebbels
German composer, director and professor Heiner Goebbels was the winner of the 2012 International Ibsen Award.
Heiner Goebbels was born in Germany, 1952. He has composed and directed music theatre since the 1990s. Some of his most famous works include Black on White, Max Black, Eraritjaritjaka, Stifters Dinge, Songs Of Wars I Have Seen, and I Went To The House But Did Not Enter. Heiner Goebbels is professor at the Institute for Applied Theatre Studies of the Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen and President of the Theatre Academy of Hesse. He is artistic director for the International Festival of the Arts RUHRTRIENNALE from 2012 until 2014.
